5 Things To Do After You Finish Finals
Finals are … well, a pain. Finals week consists of extreme amounts of stress, an excessive amount of caffeine, no sleep, and exhaustion. It is a time of worry and fear — not knowing what your upcoming exams will be like/how challenging.
The stress of finals week is something that we college kids know too well. It is the most dreaded time of the year … but don’t worry, it’s almost over! Once you finish all of your exams, you will appreciate all of the hard work and effort that you put into studying and preparing for them.
So sit back, and reward yourself after finals by doing these five things.
1. Relax!
After finals week, relax! Take some time to wind down, whether that be sleeping for an entire day, watching insane amounts of Netflix, or simply just hanging out. Do something that relaxes you after weeks and weeks of ongoing stress.
2. Exercise.
Believe it or not, exercising actually releases tons of stress and worry. After finals, hit the gym or go for a run outside. This will relieve your anxiety about the week, and make you feel more refreshed and relieved.
3. Hang out with friends.
One of the best post-finals activities is hanging out with friends and family. Having some good laughs and conversations will make you feel relieved and worry-free, so make sure to do this after your week of stress.
4. Find a new hobby.
Whether it be reading a new book, playing a new sport, or going somewhere different for lunch … do something new with your life, and find a new hobby/activity.
5. Destress.
All in all, after finals week you deserve to destress. Appreciate your hard work and effort that you put into these last few weeks, and find something to do that makes you happy.
So overall, finals week is horrible. I’m sure I didn’t have to tell you that, though. Although finals week may seem like the worst thing, just remember the feeling of accomplishment after you’re done. That’ll get you through anything that crosses your path — even if it is just a cumulative history final.
