As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfort in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Comfort in deep water with the ability to use watercraft (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water, etc.)
Experience working with or teaching children is preferred
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification is preferred but not required
Must be 18 years of age
